Kait Gardner is a New York City based actress, model, and singer. Her recent credits include an appearance on E! News Live modeling a Golden Globes dress, playing a spy in the web series, The BOYE Division, interviewing DJs and bloggers in an upcoming David Portnoy documentary, and starring in a commercial for the Empire State Building. Kait has modeled for E! News Live, Elle Magazine, l’Occitane, iVillage, Sulwhasoo, and Soxxy, and frequently works with celebrity makeup artist Andrew Sotomayor. Most recently, she has started writing a short film with fellow NYU graduate and friend David Bernon.

Kait grew up in a small town in Connecticut and found her passion for performing at an early age when she first watched The Wizard of Oz. At St. Luke’s School, after spending years on the soccer team as an underwhelming benchwarmer, Kait decided her talents did not lie in athletics, and she decided to dedicate herself to her true passion: performing. She devoted her high school years to acting in plays and musicals, tap dancing, and studying classical music. She was a member of the National Honors Society, student leader of her acapella group, Take 9, and was a recipient of various performing arts awards, including Most Outstanding Chorale Member (’04-05, ’07-08) the Seldin Performing Arts Award (2008) and Outstanding Actor in a Play for her portrayal of Jo in Little Women (2008). She was also accepted into the Connecticut Western Regional Choir and the Connecticut All-State Choir as a soprano.

Kait followed her passions to NYU, where she studied musical theater at the Tisch School for the Arts’ CAP21 conservatory for two years. Halfway through her college career she transferred to NYU’s Gallatin School for Individualized Study. Though she enjoyed her time at Tisch, Kait was attracted to Gallatin, where she had the freedom to design her own curriculum around acting, theater philosophy, and theater studies.

Kait just moved from New York to Los Angeles and spends her time writing music, auditioning, and working her blog. She speaks conversational French, plays beginner piano and guitar, and is quite a good cook. Her other passions include crying to reruns of Say Yes to the Dress, crushing dudes at pool, and taking ugly selfies.
